About TLA Fitness

TLA Fitness was founded by former Royal Marine, Tom Alden, in 2008.

TLA Fitness was founded by former Royal Marine, Tom Alden, in 2008.  After experiencing first hand the benefits of exercising outdoors, and with gym memberships becoming increasingly more expensive, Tom saw a niche in the market for combining effective training sessions with the huge benefits gained both physically and mentally from simply ‘getting outdoors’. Out of this TLA Fitness was born.  

After advertising a trial class around the fields and countryside close to his house in South Oxford, the feedback he received was incredible and it was clear there was a huge demand for bespoke outdoor fitness training.

Tom and the TLA Fitness team now run 10 classes per week at the studio in Sunningwell, ranging from yoga to kettlebell training, as well as 5 outdoor bootcamp sessions in and around the Oxfordshire area. And with the ever-growing interest and demand for getting fit outdoors, this number will continue to rise giving you more choice and less of an excuse!  

TLA Fitness also offers Personal Training sessions, private group sessions, TRX training and running courses. See our home page for more information.  

The TLA Fitness team will work to tailor your experience, finding the right workout to suit your individual ability, fitness and training needs. We will set personal goals and potentially get you involved in team events if it’s right for you. We look forward to seeing you!

TLA Fitness, a unique Outdoor Fitness Company run by former Royal Marine Tom Alden has witnessed massive growth over the past 12 months and due to this TLA is now recruiting for a new member to join this exciting, expanding and refreshingly different company!

As a TLA Fitness Instructor, you will possess the drive, determination, tenacity and above all the passion to train and motivate each and every client into achieving their fitness and weight loss goals.  You will be working with a wide variety of clients from businessmen and women looking inject some escapism into their hectic schedules, to professional athletes and  ‘fitness junkies’!  With ages ranging from 16-60 and up, no two sessions will ever be the same!

Initially working as an Instructor on TLA’s increasingly popular ‘Get Fit Outdoors’ circuits and classes, you will be required to work between 2 & 5 sessions a week on a monthly basis.  These will usually fall between 06:30am-8pm Monday-Friday and between 9-11am on weekends.

To apply you will need to be REPS level 2/3 accredited/qualified and have had experience of both 1-2-1 and private group training.  Be approachable and most of all, know how to make your classes FUN!
